Infuse your Booze

As the holidays sneak up on me, I am trying hard to prepare myself for the season. For instance, cocktails are tastier when infused with fruits and/or spices of your choice. This is a better alternative than the pre-packaged mixes and un-natural flavoring syrups that are available at the grocery. It’s easy! Give it a try.

Here I have prepared some infusions: cherry vodka, pineapple vodka, and pineapple spiced rum.

Recipe Substitutions

bundt_cake

I’ve thought to bake a banana bundt cake, but I am out of vanilla extract!

I will be taking advice from Dianasdeserts.com and will try using maple syrup as a substitute in a 1:1 ratio. Since I have the good stuff, I hope that there won’t be a notable difference in flavor! As an addition, I will also be adding a little bit of leftover mashed pumpkin.  Yum :)

The recipe I will be baking is the Banana Sour Cream Bread. It looks great baked in a bundt pan, and I usually sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top. The sour cream makes this moist, rich, and delicious!

Baggage

navajo_bag_steve_madden

Big enough to carry my tablet and my lunch.

I don’t run into too many things that I really like – and this hits the mark! I like that it has top handles, and a longer strap. It’s also got an interesting pattern that includes my favorite fall colors.

Barley Stuffed Poblano Peppers

These are delicious! I had some Anaheim chilies, so I used those instead of the Poblano peppers.
